The service
active.games lists Steam Early Access games and an opinion, computed from public build times and patch notes, about whether each one is still being updated. You can read it without an account. These terms cover use of the site.
Scores are not a promise
Labels and consistency scores are a published method, not a guarantee that a developer will ship another build. Steam can omit a branch, a news post can be misclassified, and a page can be out of date until the next refresh. Check the game's store page before you rely on a score.
Acceptable use
Don't attack the site, probe it for other people's data, overload the contact form, or try to buy a change to a score. Automated collection of the public pages should be gentle enough that the site stays up for everyone else. The contact form is for people, and it is rate-limited.
Sponsored placements
A featured-update slot may be sold later. It will be labeled Sponsored. Paying for a slot does not change scores, labels, or the order of the unsponsored lists. The slot can be switched off entirely, and it is off unless configured.
No warranty
The site is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for decisions you make because of a score, a missing update, or a sponsored slot. Some places do not allow those limits; where that is the case, they apply only as far as they are allowed to.
Changes
These terms can be replaced. The date at the top of the page is the draft date until we publish a reviewed version. Questions go through the contact form.
